Lumecca vs. Traditional IPL

Not all IPL is equal. Lumecca delivers higher peak power than traditional IPL devices, which means it can clear pigmentation in fewer sessions — many clients see major improvement after just 1–3 treatments, where older IPL might need 4–6.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your visit starts with a free consultation and skin assessment. On treatment day, a cooling gel is applied and the Lumecca handpiece delivers quick pulses of light across the treatment area — most clients feel a light snap, like a rubber band. A full-face session takes about 20–30 minutes.

Treated pigmentation typically darkens for a few days (like pepper flakes) before flaking off naturally — that’s the treatment working.

Lumecca Aftercare

• Treated spots will darken before they fade — don’t pick at them
• Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily
• Skip harsh exfoliants and retinoids for about a week
• You can usually return to normal activities the same day
