Jawline Fillers – Cosmetic Injectables from Skin6

Are you unhappy with your jawline’s silhouette? Do you wish you had a stronger-looking profile? Sharper, fuller, or more balanced jaw region to help boost your self-confidence and feel better about your looks?

There is a solution to weak, small, saggy-looking jaws– and it’s not in the form of surgery!

A quick trip to our beauty and medical clinic can change your appearance, strengthen your jaw, and create a perfectly contoured profile with the use of our safe and simple dermal fillers.

What are Jawline Fillers?

Jawline fillers are dermal fillers or cosmetic injections injected into the jawline and/or chin to change the shape, provide clear definition, contour the area, or balance an asymmetrical face to give a more proportionate-looking appearance.

Jawline contouring is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure where a safe and synthetic substance is injected below the skin to achieve a more defined jawline, resulting in that chiselled look; sharp angles, more space and clear separation between the neck and jaw, and the overall illusion of a thinner looking face.

The most common varieties of dermal fillers for this procedure are Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which can last up to 24 and 15 monthly, respectively when well maintained with healthy habits such as good hydration, a balanced diet, and decreased stress, and moisturizing the face, and practicing safe sun routines with SPF and hats where possible.

Benefits of Jawline Fillers

Quick Procedure and Recovery

Cosmetic injections are a common and popular choice for many patients as they get the benefits of a facelift without the disadvantages of surgery.

Dermal fillers are minimally invasive, with no real preparation, no undergoing of the knife, no stitches nor wounds to heal, and virtually no downtime. They are so quick and easy you can be in and out in an hour, which is why people call cosmetic injections a lunchtime procedure.

Your treatment will last anywhere from 15 minutes upward to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area, and recovery only takes a day or two to be back to full capacity. The results are immediate!

Enhanced Jawline

Whether your goal is a more “masculine-looking” jaw with a sharper, stronger, angular appearance or a thinner, more toned, yet defined look– we’ve got you covered. We will take your vision and make it a reality with our careful contouring of your new profile.

Naturally Improved Appearance

Jawline fillers don’t have to come with a drastic change or dramatic look. They can subtly improve your facial features while boasting natural-looking results. We will review a number of images to gauge your comfort and ideal look before injecting the fillers.

During Your Jawline Fillers Procedure

Before your procedure, we will discuss our jawline filler Toronto procedure in detail. We will talk about your health history, medical and surgical past, medications and current supplements, and your goals and expectations for your face.

Once we deem you a good candidate for treatment, we give you the appropriate instructions to optimize your success by following some simple guidelines before your session.

When you arrive for treatment, we can apply a numbing agent to reduce the chance of pain and sensation during the treatment time. This agent will take about 15-30 minutes to activate, at which point we will begin.

We will use a series of fine needles and, when necessary, the help of a tool called a cannula to guide the filler into the face. The amount of fillers needed will depend on your choice of look and what your face looks like initially.

Typically, jawline fillers will only take about 30 minutes but can vary from patient to patient.

Once complete, we will monitor you for any immediate side effects or initial reactions to the ingredients used.

It’s important to remember that there are some mild side effects that are considered common and self-limiting (which means they should go away on their own with some time).

The mild side effects can include: redness, pain, swelling, itching, and possibly acne-like blemishes or a rash.

Less common but more severe side effects can include: infection in the treatment area, bump or lump formation below the skin, and allergic reactions.

Rare and serious side effects can include: Necrosis (tissue death), scarring or asymmetry in the area, and blood vessel damage. Some patients report vision loss with dermal fillers, though extremely rare.

Your dermal filler specialist will advise which side effects to self-monitor and which need immediate medical assistance.

How You Can Prepare for Jaw Fillers Toronto

If you’ve decided to complete your Toronto jaw fillers with us at Skin6, we ask that you help prepare in the weeks leading up to your appointment by making some small lifestyle modifications.

We ask that you cease the use of alcohol, green tea, fish oils, painkillers, and certain supplements in the week prior to your treatment. When pain relievers are needed, the prescribed choice is acetaminophen (Tylenol) when undergoing dermal fillers.

Come prepared with a thorough list of current medications, supplements, and medical conditions so we can discuss any contraindications.

Stop any use of topical skincare or anti-ageing products that contain retinol, retinoids, and glycolic acid.

Do not do any hair removal, including shaving, tweezing, threading, or use of depilatory creams in the 1-2 days before treatment.

Avoid booking any dental cleanings, treatments, or vaccinations of any kind in the two weeks before and two weeks after your treatment session.

Arrive for your procedure fresh-faced, make-up-free, and ready to go!

Following Your Treatment

Take time to heal–allow a few days for redness, swelling, and tenderness to subside and avoid covering it with makeup.

Abstain from sun exposure (make use of SPF and hats when out in the sun), alcohol use (choose water for maximum hydration!) and vigorous activities and intense exercise for the period of time indicated in your personal aftercare instructions.

Remember to follow up with our friendly team should you have any concerns or questions about our long list of additional skin care treatments and cosmetic procedures that may complement your jawline fillers to achieve your desired look.
